What does “Human Resources” refer to? People.
ěHuman resourcesî are the people who work at CU, the greatest asset of our university. Like any asset, our human resources can be maximized or underutilized. Thatís where CUís Human Resources system comes into play.
CUís Human Resources: State and campus offices.
Our Human Resources (HR) offices deal with hiring, promoting, training, terminating, and other personnel issues. At the state level, the Colorado State Department of Personnel and Administration formulates the rules and procedures that you use to manage your department. At the university campus level, our Human Resources departments help you implement these policies in your workplace so you can help employees perform to their maximum potential.
Now, before you start the course, let's look at how you should use it.

Your campus HR office will help you negotiate any supervisory situation you encounter: disputes, promotions, extended leaves, and separations. Call us anytime.
